daily todo list Website

My life is powered by planners and todo lists. I value productivity but some days, I know I can’t do it all. It can be intimidating looking at a long, unorganized todo list. So I found myself needing a separate piece of paper to filter that list. Organizing todos by section of the day became an easier way to visualize my productive day ahead – something I can’t do easily on my phone. So this website was my way to digitize that paper list with kanban boards.

Fulfilling Day was designed to provide the user a light-touch way to visualize their day, without wasting a sheet of paper or having to sign up for a new app. It categorizes your todos by All-day, Morning, Afternoon, and Evening. Each todo list has a completed and trash function. Completed tasks are found below the board and they can be toggled to show or hide. But most importantly, the website will save your todos through local storage, until you clear the form with the reset button. Therefore, you can close out, refresh the page, or leave tasks undone – it will all still be there the next day!

This daily planner allowed me to further exercise my HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript skills. It challenged me by working with user input data, DOM elements, and local storage. It was so much fun to create and I have been personally using it ever since!
